Our Mission Our mission at Community Christian Preschool is to provide a safe, loving, learning, environment in which all children are encouraged to grow socially, academically and spiritually. Our Vision Our ultimate goal is to have a quality early childhood program that reaches into the community to share the love of Jesus with all children. We have trained our teachers in Creative Curriculum which is a play based philosophy founded on brain research that recommends hands on learning as the best way to teach children in all areas. We use large groups, small groups and individual one-on-one times to meet each child where they are and take them to the next level in development. We are accredited by United Methodist Association of Preschool (UMAP) and Gold Seal. UMAP believes that nurturing a child's faith is an important part of their early development and we could not agree more. We use daily prayer circles, blessings of snacks and lunches, chapel time (every other week) and music classes mixed with secular and non-secular music (each week) to encourage an open relationship with Jesus. What makes our preschool ministry different from other programs in the area is our intentional attitude to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate program that focuses not only on academic skills that prepare children to be life long learners but the life skills that make it possible. As Christians, we know that those skills come from biblical teachings and from modeling a personal walk with Jesus. We are a bridge to the community as we accept children of all races, backgrounds, cultures and religions. |
